PR translation projects

PR translation projects are a real challenge for professionals nowadays. It"s not because they are that difficult to translate! The documents that constitute a project might as well be easily translated using any standard dictionary. However, the final result would be imperfect. This kind of work requires a different organization. Imagine you are supposed to translate a pile of documents over a period o time. There are several kinds of documents such as presentations, letters, emails, etc. They are all interconnected to each other as they are strictly related to one particular topic or phase of a company"s work. They documents arrive successively and you are asked to translate them one by one, as they arrive, over the period of several weeks or even months. This is becoming a very common type of work for PR translation specialists. One important thing is that the same group of people has to work on one particular project over an extended period of time. They have to make sure they use the same glossaries and keep themselves up-to-date with recent changes. This, of course, means staying in touch with the business for whom the project is being translated. As you can see, it"s not quiet work with your favourite dictionary at home. You are supposed to interact with the customer to achieve the best possible results.
